The club has regular, social "roll ups" on Saturday afternoons, when teams are drawn at random on the day and reshuffled after a few ends. This is a great chance for beginners to come down and try the game. Players and spectators are very welcome. We have equipment that can be borrowed for these sessions. All you need are flat shoes.
In the week we play more competitively with matches against other clubs on Monday and Wednesday evenings in the Gainsborough League and on Tuesday afternoons in the Isle of Axholme Senior League. We also send a team on Thursday afternoons to play at Babworth in their league. New members may soon find themselves in a team if they are interested. We had a very successful season in 2023, winning the Senior League and the Gainsborough League Cup.
New this year, we will be running additional sessions on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month from 6pm to 7pm for people who would like to give it a try. Hopefully this will coincide with the Cricket Bar being open so you could enjoy a relaxing drink afterwards while you discuss your successes and frustrations with this fascinating game.
